Lead the Future of Perioperative Services
The Bays Healthcare is a highly regarded not-for-profit, community-owned private hospital that has been delivering exceptional healthcare to the Mornington Peninsula for more than 87 years.
An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced and inspiring perioperative leader to join the organisation as Perioperative Services Manager.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership across the hospital's perioperative portfolio, including Operating Theatres, Day Surgery, CSSD and Endoscopy. This is a broad leadership role focused on service optimisation, workforce capability, financial performance and the ongoing growth of procedural services.
Working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, nursing leaders and executive colleagues, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, efficient and patient-centred care while supporting the continued development of one of Victoria's leading private healthcare providers.
About the Role
As the Perioperative Services Manager, you will:
Provide strategic and operational leadership across Theatre, Day Surgery, CSSD and Endoscopy.
Drive theatre utilisation, scheduling efficiency and patient flow.
Lead service growth through strong engagement with surgeons and visiting specialists.
Build and develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
Manage workforce planning, budgets and operational performance.
Champion clinical governance, quality improvement and accreditation.
Foster a culture focused on innovation, accountability and exceptional patient care.
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Significant perioperative leadership experience at NUM level or above.
Proven success managing complex theatre operations and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong financial, operational and workforce management capability.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with surgeons and executive leaders.
A commitment to clinical excellence, continuous improvement and outstanding patient outcomes.
Postgraduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing, Health Management or Leadership and experience within the private hospital sector will be highly regarded.
