Consultant, Work Health & Safety 

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated WHS Consultant to join our People Solutions practice in Melbourne. 

This role will suit someone with hands-on Work Health and Safety experience who is ready to apply their technical knowledge in a consulting environment. You will work with experienced colleagues to support the delivery of practical WHS solutions for a broad range of corporate clients. 

You will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients across Victoria and Australia, supporting organisations to improve safety performance, manage risk and build safer workplaces. 

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Melbourne office.

What the day will look like 

• Supporting the delivery of WHS advisory projects and client engagements
• Assisting with the review and development of WHS frameworks, procedures and processes
• Preparing reports, proposals and other key project deliverables
• Working with clients to understand their WHS needs and safety priorities
• Contributing to practical recommendations that help improve safety outcomes
• Collaborating with colleagues across Aon to deliver high-quality client solutions

Skills and experience that will lead to success 

• Experience in Work Health and Safety
• Exposure to WHS systems, frameworks, procedures and risk management processes
• Experience supporting the development, implementation or review of WHS management systems
• Strong written communication skills, including report writing and documentation
• Ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to improving safety outcomes
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Confidence working in a team-based, client-focused environment
• Ability to present information clearly and professionally to a variety of audiences
• Training and Assessment qualifications will be highly regarded
