Safety Consultant

About the role

As a WHS Consultant, you'll work directly with a portfolio of clients, providing practical advice and support across all aspects of workplace health and safety. You'll enjoy a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be supported by an experienced leadership team while enjoying the autonomy to manage your own client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting WHS audits and gap analyses

• Developing and reviewing WHS management systems, policies and procedures

• Completing workplace inspections and risk assessments

• Delivering WHS training, workshops and toolbox talks

• Assisting clients with legislative compliance and Codes of Practice

• Incident investigations and corrective action management

• Coaching and supporting business leaders on WHS obligations

• Preparing professional reports and recommendations

• Supporting clients with ongoing continuous improvement initiatives

About you

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or higher)

• Minimum 24 months' experience in a WHS-related role

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills

• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

• Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills

• Current Australian Driver Licence

• Return to Work Coordinator experience or training (highly regarded)

• Workers' compensation or injury management experience (highly regarded)

• Experience conducting WHS audits (highly regarded)
