Vale Brewing Restaurant and Bar is looking for a dedicated and adaptable Kitchen Hand to support the day-to-day operations of our growing kitchen. Set within the picturesque Beresford Estate, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to a passionate hospitality team delivering high-quality food and service to locals and visitors alike.

 About the Role
This casual position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly. You’ll assist in food prep, maintain a clean and compliant workspace, and help ensure the smooth flow of kitchen operations from open to close. Shifts include both daytime and evening hours, including weekends.

 Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation under the guidance of the senior Chefs

• Support kitchen hygiene and safety through regular cleaning and maintenance

• Operate and maintain dishwashing station to ensure crockery, utensils and kitchen equipment are consistently clean and ready for use

• Accurately record temperatures and follow all food safety procedures

• Contribute to an efficient and positive kitchen environment during service and events

 What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a kitchen, café or similar hospitality setting will be highly regarded

• A strong work ethic and willingness to pitch in wherever needed

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Availability for a mix of daytime, evening and weekend shifts

• An interest in local produce, beverages and guest experience
