HEAD CHEF – ITALIAN CUISINE

Il Ritrovo is seeking a highly experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen and take our Italian offering to the next level.

We are looking for a passionate and confident chef with extensive experience in authentic Italian cuisine, strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a busy kitchen to the highest standards.

About the Role

• Lead and manage the entire kitchen team
• Maintain consistency, quality and presentation across every service
• Oversee menu development, specials and seasonal dishes
• Manage food costs, stock control, ordering and supplier relationships
• Organise kitchen rosters and staff training
• Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards
• Work closely with the owners to grow and develop the restaurant

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
• Strong background in authentic Italian cuisine
• Excellent knowledge of pasta, meat, seafood and traditional Italian cooking techniques
• Proven leadership and kitchen-management experience
• Strong understanding of food costs, portion control and stock management
• Ability to remain organised and perform under pressure
• Professional attitude, reliability and strong work ethic
• Full working rights in Australia
