EEHA Automation is growing, and we are looking for experienced Advanced Industrial Electricians – Grade 7 to join our Electrical team across both Projects and Service.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician who enjoys variety, technical problem-solving and working across industrial, automation, manufacturing, utilities and heavy industry environments.

You will work across project installations, commissioning, maintenance, breakdowns and service work, with the opportunity to take ownership of jobs and support junior team members.

Build. Commission. Fault Find. Lead.

About the role

As an Advanced Electrician – Grade 7, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical works across a range of industrial environments. You will work across project installations, commissioning, maintenance, breakdowns and service work, with the opportunity to take ownership of jobs and support junior team members. As part of the Service function, you will participate in an on-call roster approximately one week in four, responding to breakdowns and emergency call-outs across the Brisbane metropolitan area.

Key responsibilities

• Industrial electrical installation, testing and commissioning

• Preventative and reactive maintenance

• Breakdown response and fault finding

• Motor control, starters, VSDs and protection systems

• PLC I/O testing and electrical-level control system fault finding

• MSBs, DBs, MCCs, switchboards and control panels

• Marshalling panels, junction boxes and terminal boxes

• Instrumentation, telemetry and control equipment

• Water and utility infrastructure

• Manufacturing, processing, quarry and food-grade equipment

About you

• QLD Electrical Licence – Cert III

• Over 3 years post-trade electrical experience

• Strong industrial or commercial electrical experience

• Excellent electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Experience with motors, VSDs, motor control and protection

• Electrical-level understanding of PLCs and control systems

• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and electrical compliance

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

• Current CPR and LVR

• Current manual driver's licence

The following qualifications and experience will be highly regarded:

• Instrumentation Cert IV

• Hazardous Areas Cert IV

• HV competencies, including HV Switching

• Hazardous Areas experience

• Open Cabler's Licence

• HRWL – WP

• First Aid

• Communications or Electronics qualifications

• Experience within mining, manufacturing, utilities, water, processing or heavy industry

• Experience working with automation and control systems
