Since 2014, the brand has focused on creating timeless, versatile pieces that allow women to feel confident, polished and comfortable.Working at Elka Collective means representing a brand where quality, personal style and customer connection are at the heart of the experience.The RoleWe are seeking a Casual Retail Assistant to join our Elka Collective team within David Jones Bondi.Located in one of Sydney’s busiest and most fashion-focused shopping destinations, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating genuine connections with customers and has a strong interest in fashion and styling.As part of the Bondi team, you’ll be responsible for creating a welcoming and elevated experience for every customer who visits the Elka Collective space. You’ll assist customers in finding pieces that suit their individual style, provide thoughtful styling recommendations and help ensure the brand is presented to a high standard within the David Jones environment.You’ll also work closely with the wider team to support daily sales, stock management, merchandising and the smooth running of the concession.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver warm, personalised customer service that reflects the Elka Collective brandBuild genuine relationships with customers and understand their individual needsConfidently recommend products, outfits and styling optionsAssist customers throughout their shopping journey, from product discovery through to purchaseMaintain a polished and organised Elka Collective presentation within David Jones BondiEnsure stock is replenished and the sales floor remains well presentedAssist with deliveries, stock transfers and inventory managementProcess transactions accurately and efficientlySupport visual merchandising and ensure brand standards are consistently maintainedWork collaboratively with the Elka Collective and David Jones teamsContribute to achieving sales targets and store performance goalsCreate a positive, energetic environment for both customers and team members
What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone who is naturally friendly, confident and passionate about fashion.You will ideally have:Previous experience in fashion, retail, customer service or a similar customer-facing roleA genuine interest in styling and contemporary fashionThe confidence to approach customers and start meaningful conversationsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA natural ability to understand a customer’s personal style and recommend suitable productsA proactive and positive attitude in a busy retail environmentStrong attention to detail and pride in presentationThe ability to work independently while also contributing to a close-knit teamFlexibility to work across weekends, peak trading periods and a casual retail roster
