Experienced Barista & Cafe All-Rounder

ABOUT THE ROLE

One full-time job. Three venues. Plenty of variety.

We’re looking for an experienced Barista & Cafe All-Rounder to join our growing hospitality group across Emerald, Upper Beaconsfield and Gembrook.

This is a genuine full-time role with regular, dependable hours, variety across our venues and real opportunity to develop into a leadership position as the business grows.

We’re not looking for someone who only wants to stand behind a coffee machine.

We want one of those genuinely capable hospitality people who can make great coffee, look after customers, jump onto the floor and step into the kitchen when the team needs help.

Your role will include:

• Confidently running a busy commercial coffee machine

• Producing consistently great coffee at pace

• Front-of-house customer service

• Taking orders, running food and keeping service moving

• Jumping into the kitchen when required

• Preparing breakfasts, toasties and straightforward cafe meals

• Opening and/or closing venues depending on experience

• Keeping the venue clean, organised and ready for service

• Supporting the wider team wherever needed

• Working across our Emerald, Upper Beaconsfield and Gembrook locations as part of a regular roster

You’ll have structure and dependable hours, but you won’t necessarily be doing exactly the same thing in exactly the same venue every day.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong commercial barista experience

• Confidence working independently on the coffee machine during busy service

• Good general cafe and hospitality experience

• The ability to prepare breakfasts, toasties and similar cafe food

• Strong customer service skills

• A practical, hands-on attitude

• The ability to see what needs doing and get on with it

• Reliability and good availability

• A genuine team-first attitude

You don’t need to be a qualified chef.

You do need to be the sort of person who sees the kitchen getting busy while coffee is quiet and automatically jumps in to help.

LEADERSHIP & CAREER DEVELOPMENT

For the right person, there is genuine opportunity for this role to develop into a supervisor or leadership position.

Experience opening or closing venues, running shifts, training team members or giving direction would be highly regarded.

You don’t need previous management experience. If you’re a strong hospitality operator who wants to develop into leadership, we can provide that opportunity.
