BLU Healthcare is currently seeking experienced and reliable Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our growing casual workforce for night shifts across Melbourne hospitals.

About the Role

As a Casual PCA with BLU Healthcare, you will provide high-quality personal care and support to patients throughout their hospital stay. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, supporting patients with their daily care needs while maintaining their comfort, dignity, and safety.

Night shifts may include:

• Supporting patients with personal care and daily living activities
• Assisting with mobility and repositioning
• Providing overnight comfort and support
• Monitoring and reporting changes in patient wellbeing to nursing staff
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment
• Working collaboratively with nurses and the broader healthcare team

About You

• Recent experience working as a PCA in a hospital environment
• Confident providing personal care and mobility support
• Strong understanding of manual handling and patient safety
• Reliable, professional, and compassionate
• Comfortable working independently during overnight shifts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patient-focused and committed to providing high-quality care

Essential Requirements

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Health Services Assistance, or equivalent
• Minimum 12 months recent PCA experience
• Current National Police Check
• Current Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC), where applicable
• Up-to-date vaccination evidence and serology in line with hospital requirements
• Current BLS certification, where required by the hospital
• Full Australian working rights
