The City of Salisbury is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Senior Club Leasing Officer to join the Buildings, Electrical and Energy Management team within City Infrastructure.

Reporting to the Team Leader Buildings, Electrical and Energy Management, you will be the primary point of contact between Council and more than 65 sporting and community clubs across the City of Salisbury. Working closely with clubs and internal stakeholders, you will manage lease and licence arrangements, coordinate maintenance and service requests, provide property management advice and support strong partnerships that help clubs thrive.

You will play a key role in ensuring clubs receive a high level of customer service while supporting Council's compliance obligations and the effective management of community facilities and assets.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Act as the primary liaison between Council and sporting and community clubs.
• Manage lease and licence agreements for sporting and community clubs.
• Coordinate communication and collaboration between clubs and Council service areas.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clubs, stakeholders and community groups.
• Provide professional property and leasing advice to lease and licence holders.
• Monitor compliance with lease and licence obligations and relevant legislation.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure clubs receive services aligned with agreed service levels.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, agreements and property-related documentation.
• Manage aspects of Council's Minor Capital Works Program.
• Provide advice to leadership on club, property and leasing matters.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, policies and processes relating to club leasing and property management.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members where required.

About you:

You are a customer-focused and relationship-driven professional with experience in property management, leasing or a related discipline. You enjoy working collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders and have the ability to build trusted relationships while balancing community needs with organisational and legislative requirements.

With strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills, you can confidently manage competing priorities, navigate complex issues and deliver positive outcomes for clubs, Council and the community.

You will also have: 

• Considerable experience in property management, leasing, facilities management or a related discipline.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Experience preparing contracts, formal correspondence and reports.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements relevant to property management.
• High level political acumen and ability to manage sensitive matters appropriately.
• Current Class C Driver's Licence.
  

Highly regarded:

• Formal qualifications in Property, Business, Law or a related discipline.
• Understanding of Chapter 11 of the Local Government Act 1999.
• Experience working within Local Government.
• Knowledge of South Australian sporting associations, club governance and grant programs.
• Experience mentoring or providing guidance to junior staff members.
