Junior Draftsperson

Design & Contract Admin — Mahmud Enterprise Pty Ltd

Mahmud Enterprise Pty Ltd is seeking a Design & Contract coordinator to manage day-to-day project coordination across our residential developments in the Hunter Valley.

Key responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, elevations and sections using CAD software in accordance with Australian building standards and codes

2. Liaise directly with local council on planning, compliance, and Occupation Certificate (OC) matters across multiple active sites

3. Coordinate with certifiers, engineers, and surveyors to progress CDC/DA approvals, plans, and inspections

4. Manage supplier and contractor communications, including quotes, invoices, and scheduling of trades

5. Prepare and submit permit applications (S138, etc.) and track compliance documentation

6. Handle customer-facing correspondence for project updates, handovers, and issue resolution

7. Coordinate insurance, warranty, and certification requirements across the project portfolio

8. Liaise with solicitors and agents on property sale and settlement matters

9. Track and follow up on outstanding invoices, statements, and supplier accounts

10. Support directors with drafting correspondence for council, brokers, and other external stakeholders

11. Maintain accurate project records across shared drives and communication channels

What we're looking for:

• Qualification in Architectural Drafting, Building Design or equivalent tertiary qualification, or equivalent practical experience

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Lumion

About you: Highly organised, confident liaising with council and trades, comfortable managing multiple live projects at once, strong written communication.
