Join Our Team – Lead Integrity and Fair Play Across Football in WA
About Us
At Football West, we’re driven by passion for making football accessible, enjoyable, and empowering for everyone. Following the excitement and legacy of the recent AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026, and the continued growth of the Sam Kerr Football Centre, there’s never been a better time to join our team.
As WA’s sole governing body for football, we bring the game to life for more than 230,000 participants across parks, pitches and indoor centres. We’re committed to creating a safe, fair and inclusive football environment where integrity and respect underpin everything we do.
The Role
Reporting to the Integrity & Governance Manager, you’ll lead Football West’s specialist Disciplinary & Grievance function and provide day-to-day direction to the Disciplinary & Grievance team.
You’ll oversee disciplinary, grievance and dispute matters across metropolitan competitions, manage tribunal and appeal processes, provide expert interpretation of Football West’s Competition Rules and Disciplinary & Grievance Regulations, and work collaboratively with Football Operations, clubs and key stakeholders to ensure matters are managed fairly, consistently and efficiently.
You’ll also play an important role in reviewing and improving regulations, identifying emerging risks and trends, and driving continuous improvement across the disciplinary function. This is an excellent opportunity to build on your technical expertise while developing your leadership capability within one of Western Australia’s leading sporting organisations.
What you’ll be doing
About You
You’re an experienced professional who enjoys solving complex problems, interpreting regulations and making balanced, well-informed decisions.
You have strong technical expertise in governance, compliance, legal services, investigations, sport administration or another regulatory environment and are ready to take ownership of a specialist function.
While previous formal people leadership experience is beneficial, we’re equally interested in candidates who have demonstrated leadership through mentoring colleagues, leading projects, managing complex work or influencing stakeholders, and are ready to step into a role with greater responsibility.
