About the role

Woodfrog Bakery is seeking a skilled Mixing & Shaping operator to join our production team on a full-time basis at our facility in Moorabbin, VIC 3189. This role is central to our bakery operations, where you will be responsible for preparing dough mixtures and shaping products to our exacting quality standards. You will work as part of a dedicated production team, contributing directly to the quality and consistency of our baked goods that reach our customers daily.

Key responsibilities

• Operating mixing equipment to combine ingredients according to established recipes and production specifications

• Monitoring dough consistency and texture to ensure it meets quality standards before moving to the shaping stage

• Shaping dough into finished products using both manual techniques and shaping machinery

• Maintaining accurate records of batch production, ingredient usage and any quality issues encountered

• Adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols throughout all stages of mixing and shaping

• Performing routine equipment maintenance and cleaning to ensure all machinery operates efficiently

• Working collaboratively with other production team members to meet daily production targets

• Reporting equipment malfunctions or product quality concerns to supervisory staff promptly

• Following all health and safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a bakery production environment, particularly with mixing and shaping operations

• Demonstrated ability to operate commercial mixing and shaping equipment safely and effectively

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining consistent product quality

• Ability to work efficiently to meet production schedules and targets

• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards relevant to bakery production

• Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a warm production environment

• Reliable and punctual work ethic with the ability to work as part of a team

• Willingness to follow instructions and adapt to production requirements

• Previous experience in food manufacturing or production planning environments is advantageous
