Spice Packing Machine Operator

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable spice Packing Machine Operator to join our team in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. This is a full-time position based on-site at our manufacturing facility. As a Packing and blending Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that our spice products are efficiently and safely packaged to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

• Operating and monitoring Spice and Herbs packing and blending machinery to ensure efficient and consistent product packaging

• Setting up packing machines according to specifications and production requirements

• Loading raw materials and finished products onto packing equipment

• Inspecting packaged products for quality control, identifying and reporting any defects or issues

• Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of packing machines to maintain optimal performance

• Maintaining accurate records of production runs, quantities and any issues encountered

• Reporting equipment malfunctions and assisting with troubleshooting under guidance

• Adhering to health and safety regulations and contributing to a safe work environment

• Multi-tasking during down time
  

What we're looking for

• Proven experience operating packing machines or similar manufacturing equipment in a production environment

• Ability to work accurately and efficiently, meeting production targets and deadlines

• Good understanding of health and safety procedures and a proactive approach to workplace safety

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance

• Capacity to work full-time hours, including potential shift work or overtime when required

• Reliable, punctual and self-motivated with a positive team attitude

• Physical capability to perform the duties of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting materials

• Forklift driver's license

• Order picking experience
