Based at Moree Community Health Service, you’ll join the Hunter New England Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) Service as part of a safe, supportive and highly team-oriented workplace.
Working closely with the Aboriginal Health Unit, Sexual Assault Counsellors, Social Workers and other health professionals, you’ll build strong relationships with Aboriginal children, individuals, families and communities. You’ll be based at Moree Community Health Service and work across the local community in partnership with Aboriginal communities, health services and community organisations.

About you
You’re a compassionate, respectful and genuine people person who values connection, trust and walking alongside Aboriginal people, families and communities.
You’ll meet people where they’re at, listen to what matters to them and support client-led goals—advocating for their needs so they don’t fall through the gaps in the system. You’ll bring a culturally safe, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, with a willingness to learn and work within a healing framework.
You’ll be someone who:
Experience working with Aboriginal communities or in health, community or human services is highly regarded. Most importantly, you’ll bring respect for Aboriginal culture, a willingness to learn and a genuine commitment to walking alongside people on their journey.
