Site Supervisor

About the role

CIVELITE is seeking a Site Supervisor to join our team in Geelong, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the successful delivery of our construction projects. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role is essential to maintaining CIVELITE's reputation within the construction industry.

Key responsibilities

1. Supervising and coordinating all site activities, including labour, plant, materials and subcontractors

2. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies

3. Monitoring project progress and reporting on schedule adherence and budget performance

4. Conducting daily toolbox talks and site inspections to identify and address safety hazards

5. Managing communication between site teams, management and clients to ensure clarity and coordination

6. Overseeing quality control measures and ensuring work meets contractual and industry standards

7. Maintaining accurate site records, documentation and daily reports

8. Inducting and training site personnel on project-specific requirements and procedures

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar supervisory role within the construction industry

2. Strong knowledge of construction practices, methods, materials and relevant building codes and standards

3. Demonstrated experience in health and safety management on construction sites

4. Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and supervise diverse teams

5. Strong organizational and time management abilities with a focus on delivering projects on schedule

6. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications

7. Sound understanding of project budgeting and cost control

8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

9. Reliability and a professional approach to all site and client interactions

10. Current driver's license and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
