Support Worker

About the role

Beyond Boundaries Support Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team operating in Tweed Heads, NSW to the Northern Gold Coast, QLD. As a casual Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and assistance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring they can live independently and with dignity. This position offers flexible work arrangements, allowing you to balance your work and personal commitments.

What you'll be doing

1. Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

2. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful social and recreational activities

3. Advocate for client needs and work closely with their support networks

4. Maintain accurate client records and documentation

5. Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

6. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills

What we're looking for

1. Prior experience in aged care, disability support, or a related field

2. Minimum of 6+ months experience in aged care, disability support, or related field

3. A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

5. The ability to work independently and as part of a team

6. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

7. A current First Aid certificate and appropriate licences or certifications or willing to obtain.

8. Valid driver's licence required in addition to First Aid certificate or willing to obtain.

9. Working with Vulnerable People check or police clearance required before commencement or willing to obtain.
