We are seeking an experienced and passionate Group Head Chef to lead the culinary vision across our diverse portfolio of venues. From bustling modern pubs and waterfront destinations to premium dining rooms and boutique hotels, this is a rare opportunity to shape food strategy, mentor high-performing teams, and drive culinary excellence across a respected and expanding hospitality group.
  
Key Responsibilities
  

• Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and support to Head Chefs across multiple venues.
• Drive menu innovation, seasonal menu development, and consistency in food quality and presentation.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships 
• Oversee food quality, kitchen standards, compliance, and profitability across all venues.
• Manage kitchen budgets, P&Ls, labour costs, forecasting, and overall financial performance.
• Lead kitchen repair, maintenance, and capital expenditure projects.
• Support recruitment, training, succession planning, and the development of a positive kitchen culture.
• Collaborate with venue leadership and operations teams to ensure efficient and scalable kitchen systems.
• Develop and implement structured menu programs, recipe management systems, and food cost controls.
• Support the successful rollout of culinary initiatives, projects, and operational improvements across the group.

About You

• Proven experience as a Group Head Chef, Executive Chef, or senior culinary leader within a multi-site or high-volume hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
• A hands-on, approachable management style and a passion for operational excellence.
• Demonstrated experience managing P&Ls, food costs, labour costs, forecasting, and budgets.
• Experience implementing and managing systems such as Deputy, Cooking the Books, or similar hospitality platforms.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal, and high-quality food.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day operational demands.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Culinary qualifications and relevant certifications are highly regarded.
