Broker Support Specialist

About the role

As a Broker Support Specialist, you'll support the end-to-end loan application process from origination through to settlement and closure. You'll work closely with brokers, clients, lenders and internal stakeholders to make sure applications are accurate, compliant and progressing as they should.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of allocated loan applications and agreed actions, helping keep each file moving from submission through to settlement and closure.

• Verify borrower information and ensure applications are accurate and complete.

• Prepare, manage and maintain loan documentation and client records.

• Liaise with clients, lenders, solicitors and other stakeholders throughout the loan process.

• Provide clear, timely updates to clients and brokers.

• Respond to customer enquiries professionally and with a strong focus on the customer experience.

• Monitor application progress, identify roadblocks early and help resolve issues promptly.

• Maintain high standards of compliance with industry requirements, internal policies and procedures.

• Support brokers, management and directors with administrative and operational requirements as needed.

• Look for practical ways to improve processes, communication and the overall client experience.

About you

• A professional, proactive and solutions-focused approach.

• Sound understanding of financial products and lending principles, or a genuine desire to develop this knowledge.

• Confidence using Microsoft Office and the ability to learn industry-specific systems.

• A Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking is preferred. We will also consider candidates who are willing to undertake and successfully complete the qualification, together with relevant industry education and professional development, within their first 12 months of employment.
