Greenslopes Obstetrics & Gynaecology is a well-established specialist medical practice located within Greenslopes Private Hospital. Our multidisciplinary team includes Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, Endocrinologists, Allied Health Professionals and dedicated reception staff. The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Medical Administrator / Receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis (5 days per week, Monday to Friday) with the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities if that is what you are looking for as part of your career progression. About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in medical administration or medical reception

• A friendly, professional and patient-focused manner

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team

• The confidence to follow, give and prioritise instructions

• A proactive approach, using initiative and sound judgement in your day-to-day work

Permanent residency or Australian citizenship is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient coordination and appointment management

• Front-desk reception duties and patient enquiries

• Accurate recording of clinical and administrative notes

• Generating hospital quotes and discussing fees with patients

• Data entry and appointment management using Genie medical software

  • (Previous Genie experience preferred but not essential)

• Private Health Fund and Medicare billing

  • Previous medical billing experience is preferred but not essential

• HICAPS billing for Allied Health services

• Instrument sterilisation

• General administrative and reception support duties
