Youth Worker

Jabiru Community College (JCC) in Zillmere, North Brisbane, is no ordinary school. We’re a small senior secondary special assistance school, home to about 100 incredible young people in Years 10–12. Many have had tough experiences in mainstream education, and we’re here to give them a new beginning — one grounded in connection, respect, and the belief that every student has strengths to shine.

As an Youth Worker, you’ll be working alongside an Advisor /Teacher to in a small class of no more than 17:
✨ Build strong, trusting relationships with young people and their families
✨ Support attendance, wellbeing, and social and emotional learning
✨ Spark opportunities through leaving to learn opportunities for our students within the community
✨ Cheerlead every success, big and small
