About the role

We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join McKnight Signs in Tamworth, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in bringing our clients' visions to life through compelling visual design. As a Graphic Designer, you will be at the heart of our creative process, producing high-quality designs for signage, branding, and promotional materials. Your work will directly impact how our clients communicate their message and connect with their audiences, making this role strategically important to our business success.

Key responsibilities

• Create visually striking graphic designs for signage projects, including logos, banners, vehicle wraps, and external signage

• Develop branding materials and visual concepts that align with client briefs and brand guidelines

• Collaborate with clients to understand their design requirements and translate their ideas into creative solutions

• Prepare files for production and ensure all designs meet technical specifications for printing and fabrication

• Maintain organised project files and documentation to ensure efficient workflow and client satisfaction

• Stay up-to-date with design trends and industry best practices to keep our work fresh and competitive

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining high standards of quality and meeting deadlines

• Communicate design concepts effectively to clients and incorporate feedback into revisions

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flexi-design)

• Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design experience, particularly in signage, branding, or print design

• Excellent understanding of typography, colour theory, and visual composition

• Knowledge of file formats, resolution requirements, and production specifications relevant to signage and print

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members

• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finished products

• Time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

• A creative mindset with problem-solving abilities and willingness to explore innovative design solutions

• Experience with vector graphics design and familiarity with production processes is advantageous
