Flight Instructor with MEIR training Approval

The organization emphasizes professional instruction, operational safety, and the development of competent, confident pilots.Role Description This is an on-site contract role based in Adelaide, SA for a Flight Instructor with MEIR (Multi-Engine Instrument Rating) training approval. The Flight Instructor will work under management and the Head Of Operations, and conduct ground/ flight training for students of all levels including students on short courses, students pursuing recreational, private and commercial pilot qualifications, as well as students prusuing Multi Engine class Rating training and any company approved type of IFR / Design Feature / Flight Activity training in accordance with CASA Part 141 requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering classroom theory and simulator instruction, supervising pre-flight briefings, and conducting in-flight training with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. The role also involves assessing student performance, maintaining accurate training records, providing constructive feedback, and supporting continuous improvement of training programs. The instructor will collaborate with other training staff to ensure consistent standards and contribute to a positive, professional learning environment.Qualifications Strong piloting skills, including Commercial Piloting experience and demonstrated proficiency in general Aviation operations.Instrument Rating expertise, including experience delivering MEIR training and instructing in instrument procedures.Commitment to Flight Safety, including thorough knowledge of safety protocols, risk management, and regulatory requirements.Previous experience as a Flight Instructor with appropriate CASA instructor ratings and approvals.Current CASA commercial pilot license with valid medical certification.Excellent communication, briefing, and debriefing skills, with the ability to mentor and coach trainees effectively.Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and adherence to training syllabi.Experience with flight simulators and modern training technologies is an advantage.Ability to work collaboratively within a training team and uphold a professional, inclusive learning environment.
