The Opportunity

Ready to build your chef career in a fast paced, fun environment? We’re looking for passionate Commis Chefs to join the kitchen team at Village Roadshow Theme Parks.

You’ll work across à la carte dining, buffets, street food, catering and baked goods. If you love learning new skills and keeping up with food trends, this is a great place to grow.

Key Responsibilities

From sizzling pans to perfectly plated dishes, every shift is a new adventure! Your key ingredients for success include:

Conducting food preparation and cooking duties, ensuring menu items are prepared to recipe and quality standards. Applying and monitoring food safety procedures to ensure all menu items are prepared and served in line with food safety standards. Preparing suitable variations where required to accommodate guest special requests, including dietary requirements. Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic work area and report any issues that may affect kitchen operations immediately to the Chef De Partie. Working effectively within a team environment to deliver excellent internal service in a positive working environment.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Commis Chef who’s passionate about food, loves a busy kitchen, and is ready to bring their passion to the fun! You’ll bring:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is essential. Industry experience in high volume kitchen operations an advantage Comprehensive understanding of food hygiene and Food Safety program Knowledge of customer dietary requirements such as food allergies and intolerances etc. A passion for your craft and high standards of food production. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, across Village Roadshow Theme Parks properties as required by event schedules.
