Maintenance Fitter (Mechanical)

About the role:

An opportunity exists at our manufacturing site in Windsor Gardens for a Maintenance Fitter with experience in FMCG manufacturing. In this role you will use your fault finding skills and your general maintenance experience to ensure that our automated processing and packaging equipment is operating efficiently.

This position does not offer the option of Working from Home (WFH).

You will be responsible for:

• Preventative maintenance and routine adjustments

• Troubleshooting and rectifying breakdowns

• New projects, including installation, commissioning and upgrades of machinery

• General workshop repairs, including welding, milling, lathe, grinding and fabricating

We have two roles available:

• A day shift role: 7:30am-4:15pm (2:15pm finish on a Friday)

• A shift fitter role; Day shift 7:50am-4:00pm, afternoon shift 3:50pm-12am and night shift 11:50pm-8:00am (weekly rotation)

Regular overtime is available during the week and on weekends.

About you:

We are ideally seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter with:

• FMCG manufacturing experience;

• Fault finding skills with automated packaging machinery, mixers, extruders and ovens;

• Experience working with pneumatic systems and boilers;

• Experience with conveyors, chain drives, gearboxes and motors

• Experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and breakdowns;

• A Restricted Electrical licence would be ideal but is not essential.

This role involves a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and driven manufacturing environment where no day is the same.

Full on the job training will be provided.

This role may require shift work and overtime across day / afternoon and night shifts, as well as weekend work.
