About the role
Dyenamic Sublimation | Welshpool, WA | Full time, on-site
Dyenamic Sublimation is a proudly Australian-owned and operated manufacturer, producing fully custom dye-sublimated garments from our Welshpool facility. For more than 10 years we’ve been kitting out clubs, schools, corporate and mining clients across Western Australia and beyond — everything from AFL jumpers and bowls polos to school leavers wear, fishing shirts and hi-vis workwear.
Every garment starts as a design. That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to create customer concepts and production-ready artwork across our full range of garments. You’ll work closely with our sales team, interpreting briefs, developing concepts, incorporating customer feedback and preparing accurate files for print.
No two days look the same. One brief might be a junior footy club’s indigenous-inspired jumper, the next a corporate polo or a school faction shirt. You’ll need to adapt your design style to suit very different brands and industries, and be comfortable reprioritising as deadlines shift throughout the day.
• Designing across a wide range of garment categories — school uniforms, corporate apparel, fishing, AFL and other sports.
• Interpreting customer briefs and adapting your design style to suit different brands and industries.
• Producing multiple design concepts and efficiently incorporating customer feedback.
• Maintaining production-ready artwork while applying creative, effective design solutions.
• Preparing files with sublimation production in mind — artwork resolution, colour consistency and correct file preparation.
• Communicating clearly and professionally with our sales team, and with customers when required.
• Pitching in with other production tasks from time to time, such as order processing. We’re a hands-on team and everyone lends a hand when the work demands it.
Adobe Illustrator — our primary software for creating customer concepts and production-ready artwork. We’re looking for advanced proficiency, including:
• Efficient vector element construction.
• Professional layer organisation.
• Fast workflow using shortcuts and advanced knowledge of tools.
• Confidence working with design templates and preparing accurate production files.
Adobe Photoshop — used to support Illustrator by creating and refining raster artwork, textures and photographic elements. You should have:
• A strong understanding of image resolution (PPI) and the ability to optimise raster graphics for print quality.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted features and other productivity tools that improve workflow.
• Experience working in CMYK colour space.
Adobe Acrobat, Bridge & InDesign — used to check print files, browse and organise our design files, and develop promotional material. Not essential, but candidates with these skills will be viewed favourably.
Microsoft Outlook — all day-to-day email correspondence runs through Outlook. Familiarity with Outlook or a similar email system, and the ability to pick it up quickly, is expected.
Microsoft Excel & Word — occasionally used to retrieve client-supplied copy and design briefs. A basic working knowledge is fine.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Strong comprehension skills — the ability to interpret customer briefs and ask the right questions when something isn’t clear.
• Advanced organisational skills, with consistent file structures, naming conventions and documentation.
• Clear, professional communication with both colleagues and customers.
• Adaptability, and the ability to reprioritise as deadlines change throughout the day.
• A positive attitude towards constructive feedback and continuous learning.
• A willingness to improve design quality, templates and internal efficiency.
• A collaborative mindset — contributing your knowledge and supporting the development of other team members.
• Australian-made, on-site manufacturing — you’ll see your designs come off the press and onto the garment.
• Genuine variety in the work, across dozens of sports, schools and industries.
• A close-knit team that takes real pride in what it produces.
Send your CV and a portfolio showcasing your Illustrator work — vector-based apparel or sportswear design especially welcome — to ••••@dyenamicsublimation.com.au.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
