Labourer for HDD crew

About the role

Tonagh Civil is seeking a Labourer for HDD crew to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. This position is based in Minto, NSW 2566 and offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in horizontal directional drilling (HDD) operations within the civil construction industry. You will play a vital role in supporting our HDD crew to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on position that requires physical capability, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting the HDD crew with the setup, operation and maintenance of drilling equipment

• Preparing and maintaining the work site, including clearing, levelling and organising materials

• Operating and monitoring drilling fluid systems to ensure optimal drilling conditions

• Assisting with pipe handling, assembly and placement during drilling operations

• Conducting site surveys and marking utilities and underground services as required

• Loading and unloading materials and equipment from vehicles and storage areas

• Maintaining accurate records and logs of daily operations and site activities

• Adhering to all health, safety and environmental regulations on site

• Communicating effectively with crew members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations

• Performing general labouring duties as directed by the crew supervisor

• Driving Trucks to and from site

• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour tasks in various weather conditions

• Willingness to learn new skills and gain experience in HDD operations

• Strong work ethic and commitment to health and safety practices

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Reliable and punctual attendance

• Current White Card (Construction Induction Card)

• HR Truck Licence

• Previous experience in civil construction, labouring or HDD operations.

• High school completion or equivalent qualification
