As our Queensland operations continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter or Refrigeration Tradesperson to join our maintenance team at our Hemmant facility.

This is a hands-on role supporting a modern cold storage operation where safety, reliability and teamwork are at the centre of everything we do.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance, reliability and safety of plant, equipment and building infrastructure across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing preventative and reactive maintenance activities

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults across plant and equipment

• Maintaining conveyors, motors, pumps, compressors and other mechanical assets

• Supporting the operation of cold storage and refrigeration infrastructure

• Installing, servicing and assembling mechanical systems and components

• Coordinating work with contractors and other site teams

• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation

• Contributing to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

• Following all safety procedures and promoting a strong safety culture

What we're looking for

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Australian-recognised trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent

• Strong industrial maintenance experience

• Proven fault-finding and troubleshooting capability

• Experience working in manufacturing, FMCG, food processing, warehousing, logistics, cold storage, utilities or other industrial environments

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics

• Current driver's licence

• Strong commitment to workplace safety

Highly regarded

We would be particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:

• Refrigeration or air-conditioning trade qualifications

• Experience working in cold storage or temperature-controlled facilities

• Exposure to industrial refrigeration systems, compressors and associated equipment

• Welding and fabrication skills

• Forklift, EWP or scissor lift licences

• Experience with CMMS or maintenance management systems
