About the role

We are seeking a Junior Strata Building Manager to join our dynamic team at Vital Facilities Management in the Sydney metro area on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career or is looking to get into the strata industry who is eager to develop expertise in strata building management and body corporate administration. In this role, you will support the management of residential, commercial and industrial strata schemes, working alongside experienced managers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and compliance with relevant legislation. You will gain invaluable hands-on experience in all aspects of strata management whilst contributing to the delivery of exceptional service to our clients and their communities.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with the administration of strata schemes, including preparation and distribution of notices, agendas and minutes for committee meetings

• Supporting the coordination and organisation of annual general meetings and extraordinary general meetings

• Processing owner enquiries, maintenance requests and complaints in a professional and timely manner

• Liaising with contractors, service providers and residents to facilitate maintenance and repairs within schemes

• Coordinating major projects and guiding strata scheme project and maintenance strategy

• Ensuring compliance with the Strata Schemes Management Act 2015 and other relevant legislation

• Supporting the implementation of building maintenance schedules and capital works programmes

• Conducting inspections of common property and preparing reports on building condition and maintenance requirements

• Assisting with tenant and occupancy management matters where applicable

What we're looking for

• Detail oriented individual willing to learn and operate as part of a team of building and project managers

• Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with residents, owners, committee members and contractors

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• A thorough understanding of the Strata Schemes Management Act 2015 and other relevant New South Wales legislation, or a commitment to developing this knowledge

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation

• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with team members

• A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service

• Trade or strata background is desirable but not essential

• Wilingness to undertake a NSW police check

• Experience in the starta industry is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
