As part of our continued growth, we are establishing a new distribution operation in Adelaide and are seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics professional ready to step up into an Operations Manager role.

About the opportunity

This is a full-time position from commencement, providing an opportunity to join Darley Aluminium as we "establish" our Adelaide operation.

While the full Operations Manager role will evolve over the coming months as the business and distribution activities grow, the successful candidate will be employed full-time from the outset and will progressively take on greater responsibility for the warehouse and distribution operation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing warehouse and distribution activities

• Coordinating inbound and outbound stock

• Managing inventory accuracy and stock control

• Coordinating picking, loading and dispatch

• Managing freight, transport and delivery requirements

• Supervising and developing warehouse staff as the operation grows

• Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient workplace

• Establishing practical warehouse systems and procedures

• Working with management, customers, suppliers and transport providers

• Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service

About you

We are looking for someone currently working as a Warehouse Supervisor, Logistics Supervisor, Team Leader or similar, who is ready to take the next step in their career.

We would also consider an experienced aluminium sales professional with strong product knowledge and a genuine interest in moving into an operational leadership role.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution or aluminium sales

• Knowledge of aluminium products and the industry will be highly regarded

• Experience supervising, leading or coordinating people and activities

• Strong organisational and planning skills

• A practical, hands-on approach

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Strong attention to detail

• A commitment to workplace safety

• The ability to take ownership and work independently
