Due to a long, strong and ongoing pipeline of work we are urgently seeking enthusiastic and motivated applicants for the positions of qualified Solid Plasterer within our Queensland Joii Trades team who will be required to work on a wide range of residential projects.
Essential skills needed:
• Qualification and/or 3+ years’ experience as a solid plasterer
• Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
• Construction OHS card (white card).
• Own Tools.
• Own reliable transport
• Current Driver’s license.

Additional Information:
Valid Qualification means: ANZSCO Skill Level 3 with either an AQF Certificate III in Solid Plastering or at least three years of on-the-job training, or an AQF Certificate IV in Solid Plastering
The role:
As part of the construction team, your main role is to applies plaster or other mixtures, such as cement, to the inner and outer surfaces of buildings guaranteeing the smooth finish of building’s walls (inside and outside) and ceilings. You may also be required to fit plaster boards and ornaments, both inside and outside the building, and do plastering repair work,

Tasks Include:

• Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by cleaning, patching, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion of plaster.
• Plaster Mixing: Mix plaster according to project specifications, ensuring proper ratios and consistency.
• Application: Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using various tools and techniques.
• Smoothing and Finishing: Smooth plaster to achieve desired textures, finishes, and uniformity.
• Fitting internal plasterboards: also referred to as dry lining or wallboard. This task can involve affixing partitions
• Installing outer coverings: such as pebble-dash or sand, on outside walls for protection
• Using moulds and casts: for the creation of ornaments and other types of plaster work
• Repairing and Patching: Repair cracks, holes, and imperfections in plasterwork.
• Following Instructions: Follow detailed instructions, blueprints, and specifications to achieve desired outcomes.
• Maintaining Quality: Ensure high-quality plasterwork, paying attention to details, and adhering to industry standards.
• Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety and
