Junior Accounts Officer

About the role

A Part-Time Junior Accounts Officer role in the Accounts Team of a busy retail business, suitable for someone with 1–2 years of accounts or administration experience who is organised, reliable, and looking to further develop their accounting and office administration skills.

Key responsibilities

• Data entry and maintaining accurate financial records

• Assisting with Accounts Payable, including entering supplier invoices and maintaining supplier records

• Filing and document management

• Assisting with insurance applications and related documentation

• General accounts administration

• Administrative support to the Accounts Team

• Assisting with ad hoc accounts and administrative tasks as required

About you

• 1–2 years of experience in an accounts or administration role

• Previous Accounts Payable experience

• Experience using MYOB

• Good attention to detail and accuracy

• Well organised, reliable, and able to manage routine tasks independently

• Good communication skills

• Basic Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook

• Willingness to learn and support the team

• Experience in a retail or similar business environment would be an advantage but is not essential
