Sales Account Representative – Performance Coatings
Jotun Australia is seeking a motivated Sales Account Representative – Protective and Marine Coatings to develop customer relationships and support sales growth across Sydney.This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to take the next step from internal sales, trade sales, customer service or an early field-sales role. Previous coatings experience is advantageous but not essential—we provide comprehensive onboarding, product training and ongoing support.Candidates with established account management or relevant industry experience are also encouraged to apply.
About the roleBased at our Wetherill Park office and reporting to the National Sales Manager – Marine & Protective Coatings, you will manage and develop relationships with existing customers while identifying new customers, projects and sales opportunities across New South Wales.With support from experienced sales and technical colleagues, you will build the product knowledge needed to understand customer requirements and recommend practical, commercially appropriate solutions.

What you’ll do• Manage and grow relationships with existing customers across your region.• Identify prospective customers, projects and new business opportunities.• Conduct regular customer, project and site visits.• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable Jotun products and solutions.• Prepare quotations, proposals, presentations and customer follow-ups.• Work toward agreed sales, margin and market-share objectives.• Maintain accurate customer and sales-opportunity information in Jotun’s systems.• Monitor market conditions, competitor activity and changing customer requirements.• Represent Jotun professionally at customer meetings, industry events and trade activities.
What we’re looking forYou do not need to be a coatings expert. We are interested in your sales potential, customer approach and willingness to learn.
Ideally, you will bring:• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.• A proactive approach to finding opportunities and following up with customers.• Confidence meeting customers and developing new business.• Good organisation, time-management and problem-solving skills.• An interest in learning technical products and their applications.• Experience in coatings, construction products, industrial supplies, mining services, marine products, hardware or a related sector would be advantageous but is not essential.• A current Australian driver license.• Willingness to travel throughout the allocated territory.• Unrestricted Australian working rights.
