Storeperson - Day Shift

Surdex Steel is a dynamic leader in the steel industry, offering a comprehensive steel distribution service throughout Victoria.

An excellent opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Store Person to join the team located in Dandenong South.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday on Day Shift, 6am to 2pm.

Working within a fast-paced environment the main duties include warehousing and distribution of steel products using overhead cranes and forklifts.  You will pick orders, load and unload vehicles and check these against paperwork and delivery dockets.

To succeed in this role, applicants must have:

• Previous warehouse & distribution experience, preferably within a steel environment

• A current forklift license

• Previous overhead crane experience would be an advantage

• Strong customer service skills  

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• A ‘can do’ attitude and honest work ethic is a must
