Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

SDA Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our growing team based in Cleveland, Queensland. We are a specialist disability services provider supporting NDIS participants to navigate the complex Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) pathway. Our OTs complete high-quality, evidence-based assessments and reports that address SDA and SIL eligibility criteria, helping participants secure the housing outcomes they need to live safely, independently, and with dignity.  

This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist who enjoys functional assessments, clinical reasoning, and detailed report writing within a specialised, meaningful area of the disability space.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional assessments via telehealth with NDIS participants to determine SDA and SIL suitability. In person assessments when location allows.

• Prepare detailed, high-quality SDA-focused OT reports to submit to NDIA.

• Independently assess SDA (and SIL) eligibility, including suitable Design Categories, Building Types, and formal support hours.  

• Peer review OT reports by other clinicians on our team

• Maintain clear and up-to-date notes in our internal platform

• Collaborate with wider team on complex clinical matters

• Uphold professional integrity, confidentiality, and participant-focused practice.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)

• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist

• Demonstrated competence in functional assessments and clinical report writing

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)

• National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)

• Excellent communication and time management skills

• A reliable internet connection and a private space for video sessions

Desirable attributes:

• Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist within the NDIS space helpful but not required

• Telehealth experience

• Postgraduate qualifications or advanced practice experience in disability or housing
