About the role

As the Team Leader of Positive Behaviour Support, you will provide leadership, supervision and operational support to a team of Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners while maintaining an active caseload.

You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred behaviour support services that align with Autism SA's values, NDIS Quality and Safeguards requirements, and contemporary evidence-based practice. You will support the professional growth of team members, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and promote a culture of clinical excellence and collaboration.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, coaching and support to a team of Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners.

• Maintain an active Positive Behaviour Support caseload, including developing behaviour support plans.

• Monitor service quality, compliance and documentation in line with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.

• Support staff performance, onboarding, professional development and reflective practice.

• Contribute to operational planning, service improvement initiatives and achievement of team performance goals.

• Foster positive relationships with clients, families, support networks and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Behaviour Support or a related discipline.

• Current NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework suitability and experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support services.

• Demonstrated experience supporting autistic individuals and people with disability who display behaviours of concern.

• Experience supervising, mentoring or leading staff within a clinical or disability setting.

• Strong understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework and restrictive practice requirements.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and report writing skills.

• High-level organisational and time management skills.

• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check and National Police Check.

• Current Driver's Licence (C Class).
