CHEFS AND COOKS

About the role

We are seeking experienced Grill Chefs, Pasta Chefs and Cooks to join our new kitchen team at DW Steakhouse Sunnybank. You will play an important role in delivering consistently high-quality food and helping establish the kitchen standards and culture of our new restaurant. We are looking for people who take pride in their work, enjoy working in a busy kitchen and are passionate about preparing great food.

Key responsibilities

• Food preparation and cooking using a variety of culinary techniques

• Grill and cook steaks to the required level and presentation

• Prepare and cook pasta, burgers, salads and other menu items

• Consistently prepare and deliver high-quality dishes

• Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation standards

• Maintain food quality, freshness and consistency during service

• Ensure all food preparation areas and equipment are kept clean and organised

• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures

• Work efficiently during busy service periods

• Communicate effectively with other kitchen team members

About you

• Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a busy restaurant environment

• Experience with grill, pasta or modern Australian cuisine is highly regarded

• Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques

• The ability to work efficiently under pressure

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food quality

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• A reliable, positive and hardworking attitude

• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety

• A passion for cooking and delivering a great dining experience

DW Steakhouse Sunnybank is a new and exciting steakhouse located on the south side of Brisbane. We specialise in quality Australian beef, steaks, pasta, burgers and fresh salads, combining Australian dining with a unique Asian-fusion influence. As a brand-new venue, we are building a strong kitchen team from the ground up.
