Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – 6 month fixed term contract

Baldwin Living is an Australian-owned retirement living and home care provider with a proud reputation for delivering exceptional services for older Australians. We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our Executive Leadership Team on a 6-month fixed-term contract based at our Mona Vale Head Office 1 day per week, and work from home the remainder.

This is an opportunity for an accomplished CFO to make an immediate impact by providing strategic financial leadership, supporting executive decision-making, and driving financial performance across the organisation.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Acting Chief Executive Officer, you will provide executive leadership across the Finance function while partnering closely with the Executive Team and Board to deliver sound financial management, commercial insights and strategic direction.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the Finance & IT teams and fostering a high-performing culture.
• Providing strategic financial advice to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
• Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, financial reporting and statutory compliance.
• Managing audit processes, taxation obligations and financial governance.
• Monitoring organisational performance and providing commercial analysis to support decision-making.
• Driving financial modelling, business planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Overseeing organisational investment strategies and financial risk management.
• Supporting the financial performance of Baldwin Living’s retirement villages and HomeServe home care operations.
• Providing executive oversight of organisational IT from a financial and strategic perspective.
• Ensuring strong change management throughout the organisation

About You

This opportunity is suited to an experienced executive who can quickly establish credibility, provide confident leadership and contribute strategically from day one.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Previous experience as a Chief Financial Officer (essential).
• Executive leadership experience within the retirement living sector (essential).
• Demonstrated experience partnering with CEOs, Executive Teams and Boards.
• CPA or CA qualification.
• Experience leading finance teams and delivering strong commercial outcomes.
• Financial management, budgeting and cash flow expertise.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence at all levels.
