Assembly & Welding Production Team Member C13

Toughguard is seeking a reliable and motivated Assembly & Welding Production Team Member to join our manufacturing team.

This is a hands-on production role working within our assembly and welding area, assisting with the manufacture of fencing, gates and associated products.

The position is classified at C13 – Engineering/Manufacturing Employee Level II, with employment conditions and remuneration applying in accordance with our workplace arrangements and the applicable Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award 2020 (MA000010).

About the Role

Working as part of our production team and under appropriate supervision, your duties may include:

• Assembly of fencing, gates and associated manufactured products
• Carrying out routine MIG welding and production welding tasks
• Measuring and preparing components for assembly
• Cutting, drilling, grinding and preparing materials
• Using hand tools, power tools and production equipment
• Following job sheets, drawings, measurements and work instructions
• Checking completed work against required measurements and quality standards
• Handling and moving materials and finished products
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
• Assisting other members of the production team as required
• Following established workplace procedures, safety requirements and production processes

Training and instruction will be provided in accordance with the requirements of the role.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Enjoys practical, hands-on work
• Has experience in manufacturing, assembly, welding or a similar production environment
• Has some MIG welding experience or is willing and capable of being trained
• Can confidently use basic hand and power tools
• Can accurately use a tape measure and follow measurements
• Can follow instructions and established work procedures
• Has good attention to detail
• Takes pride in producing consistent, quality work
• Is reliable and punctual
• Works well as part of a team
• Understands the importance of workplace health and safety
• Is physically capable of carrying out the normal requirements of a hands-on manufacturing position

Experience working with aluminium or steel products would be advantageous but is not essential.

A trade qualification is not required for this position.

Classification & Employment Conditions

This position is classified as:

C13 – Engineering/Manufacturing Employee Level II

Employment conditions, ordinary hours, overtime, allowances and other applicable entitlements will be provided in accordance with Toughguard's applicable workplace arrangements and the Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award 2020 (MA000010).

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday.
