Corporate Goals

• Ensure each dispatched order has a unique order number and is not dispatched more than once.

• Ensure no stock leaves the warehouse without a valid WMS pick instruction.

• Maintain 100% accuracy in picking and dispatch.

• Arrive at work 10 minutes early to ensure commencement on time.

• Ensure only one picked pallet exists per item.

• Maintain First-In, First-Out (FIFO) stock management at all times.

Position Goals

• Prioritise urgent orders over all other tasks.

• Ensure all orders are picked, dispatched, and delivered on time.

• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organisation.

• Ensure all tools are correctly stored at the end of each day.

Authorities

The employee is authorised to:

• Select appropriate freight companies.

• Determine the prioritisation of picking tasks.

• Determine when stock is required to be ordered.

• Decide stock storage locations within the warehouse.

General

Presentation for Work

Employees must present in a clean, well-groomed, and moderately attired manner.

Work Health and Safety (WHS)

Employees must follow all WHS policies and procedures. Unsafe work must cease immediately and be escalated to the direct report.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve walk-in trade counter customers, including product selection, upselling, and order processing.

• Pick, pack, and dispatch local and interstate orders.

• Accurately receive and warehouse incoming stock.

• Coordinate return goods and support Sales with order updates.

• Perform regular inventory counts and consolidation.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.

• Book freight using the lowest cost appropriate method.

• Manage warehouse email inbox.

• Unload containers and palletise goods.

• Perform deliveries as required using company or personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).

• Manage waste collection and recycling.

• Track parcels and update clients.

• Monitor and report local freight spend.

• Ensure consumables are maintained at optimal levels.

• Obtain and file signed Proof of Delivery (POD) documents daily.

• Wear required PPE and comply with safe work practices, including vehicle operation.

• Maintain delivery vehicles in a clean and tidy condition.

• Conduct customer interactions professionally and courteously.

• Perform any other reasonable duties required to ensure operational efficiency.

Metro Delivery Model

• Store Person is responsible for all metro deliveries.

• Vehicles are loaded the afternoon prior to delivery.

• Overnight metro orders are picked prior to departure.

• Vans depart no later than 7:30am.

• Return by lunchtime to resume warehouse duties.

Performance-Based Bonus & Quarterly Profit Share Scheme

This position is eligible for a performance based KPI bonus and quarterly profit share scheme of up to $18,000 per annum, subject to the following conditions:

• Metro deliveries completed next business day.

• 100% of orders picked by end of day.

• 100% picking and dispatch accuracy.

• Performance-based bonus paid monthly in arrears.

• Quarterly Profit Share Scheme paid quarterly in arrears - kicks in after probationary period.

• If KPI achievement falls below 100% for any period, no bonus will be payable for that period.
