Customer Account Manager

The Opportunity

VAE Group is looking for a Customer Account Manager to own two key accounts while leading a team of supervisors and technicians. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who has extensive experience on the tools and is ready to step into a desk role, based at VAE’s Darra office.

You will inherit strong customer relationships and be responsible for maintaining that high standard through excellent time management, prioritisation, accountability, and maintaining a positive team culture.

What You’ll Be Doing (includes, but is not limited to)

•  Lead, coach and support a team of HVAC Service Supervisors and Technicians
•  Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and deliver agreed service levels
•  Build trusted customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional service and project work
• Review quotations, job orders, timesheets, invoices and service documentation
•  Monitor labour productivity, profitability and branch performance
•  Partner with the Service Manager to achieve revenue and customer satisfaction targets
•  Champion safety, quality and continuous improvement

You will also bring:

• Experience leading or coordinating HVAC field-based service teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and customer relationship skills
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Confidence reviewing quotations, invoices and operational documentation
• The ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• An HVAC trade background is preferred and highly regarded, with current and relevant licenses and qualifications to match
• Experience in mechanical services, facilities management or another technical service industry will be considered
