AAP Industries is a market leader in the distribution of high-quality pipe fittings and valves, servicing the plumbing, irrigation, engineering, fire, mining, and petrochemical industries.

An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Internal Sales / Customer Service person. This is a role that offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, motivated, and hard-working individual who is energetic and passionate about servicing and working with a diverse customer base.

 The duties of this role will include, but are not limited to:

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person

• Provide technical information to customers

• Assist with sales support tasks, including quoting and order tracking

• Maintain and update customer records in the CRM system

• Servicing customer inquiries by providing relevant information such as stock availability, order status, and delivery details as requested

• Review outstanding order reports, ensuring customer orders are processed and delivered on time efficiently

• Advise customers of new products and alternative products

• Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and finance, to ensure seamless customer service.

Desirable Criteria: 

• Previous experience in a customer service or internal sales role is preferred.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused attitude

• Experience with CRM software is a plus.

• Consultative selling skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers

Salary will depend on experience.

Monday - Friday role (38 hour week / 7.6 hour per day)
