Houseperson (Housekeeping)

Located in the heart of Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast, Turtle Beach Resort is currently seeking experienced professionals who are motivated and committed to providing exceptional service within our Housekeeping Department.

Job Position: Houseperson

Hours Available Per Week: 25 - 35*

On-site training and ongoing support will be provided to the successful applicant. Duties include:

• Attend to guest enquiries and requests in a timely manner.

• Attend to Housekeeping staff requests in a timely manner.

• Time manage jobs and requests accordingly.

• Delivery of linen and amenities to units. 

• Project cleaning.

• Inventory and stock control.

• Moving furniture as required.

Please note, our property does not have lifts (golf buggy's used), however, we are a three-story walk up.

All applicants should have the following characteristics and skills:

• Drivers Licence required (L Platers not permitted), as you will be required to drive a golf buggy.

• Ability to work 7-day rotating roster.

• Exceptional understanding and practice of safe manual handling, chemical handling, and hazard identification. 

• Excellent time management. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• A team advocate, willing to help others.

• Confidence to work alone and as part of a team.

• Punctual, efficient and courteous at all times with clients, guests and fellow staff.

• This is a physically demanding role that requires an energetic and enthusiastic person who is ready and willing to work as part of our team. 

This position does not require previous experience, we are looking for workers willing to ‘give it a go’ and learn the ropes of being a successful Houseperson!
