We are a proudly South Australian owned parcel delivery and palletised freight distribution businesses based in Dudley Park.

Our long-standing Accountant is retiring, so we are looking for a focused, reliable Accountant to take up this important role, maintain our high standards, plus support our broader business operations.

The Role
At APD, we hold ourselves accountable for every aspect of our business, and our finance operations are critical to our ongoing success.

Working under the direction of the Managing Director, the focus of this role is maintaining the company's financial records and ensuring reporting and compliance is delivered accurately and on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Financial Management and Reporting:
  Maintaining financial records, preparing monthly reports, and reconciliations of  balance sheet accounts.

• Taxation and Compliance:
  Preparing and lodging IAS and BAS, plus handling payroll tax lodgements and Workcover returns.

• Payroll and Administration:
  Manage the payroll function, ensuring accuracy before sending to our provider for processing.

• Accounts Payable and Support:
  Attending to accounts payable while providing guidance on accounting matters to accounts receivable and other staff, including directors.

• Liaison:
  Preparing annual accounts for submission to external advisors, attending to day-to-day enquiries, managing insurance matters, and assisting with administrative requests as required to support the team.

The Person
We value financial expertise, but we also value attitude, accuracy, and reliability.

You will be a great fit if you have:

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Knowledge or expertise in MYOB and/or FMS by Hub Systems is highly valued.

• Strong attention to detail.

• The ability to communicate effectively with internal management, directors, and external advisors.
