GM3 is inviting expressions of interest from experienced mining professionals for potential roles at Tahmoor Mine following the proposed recommencement of operations. 

We are excited about the opportunity to support the next chapter of Tahmoor Mine and are looking for experienced people who would like to help build a safe, productive and sustainable operation. 

Successful candidates for these roles will be employed by GM3 and are expected to be based at Tahmoor Mine following completion of the proposed acquisition.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Reporting to the relevant Superintendent, the Electrical Coordinator will lead and coordinate electrical activities across the assigned area, supporting safe, compliant and reliable operations. 

Opportunities may be available across Longwall and Weekend Operations, with assignments determined by operational requirements and candidate capability. 

This role is based at Tahmoor Mine, located in the Southern Highlands of NSW, approximately 80 kilometres south-west of Sydney and within easy commuting distance of Wollongong, the Macarthur region and surrounding communities. 

Key activities include but are not limited to: 

• Lead the safe, disciplined execution of electrical maintenance activities within the assigned area. 

• Coordinate employees, contractors, equipment, materials and work priorities to deliver agreed electrical maintenance plans. 

• Support effective planning, scheduling and day-to-day resourcing of electrical maintenance work in alignment with the 13-week schedule and weekly area plan. 

• Monitor electrical equipment performance, identify issues and support actions to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. 

• Ensure electrical work is completed safely, cost effectively and by competent personnel in line with relevant standards, procedures and statutory requirements. 

• Manage operational interfaces, emerging risks and changes to priorities while maintaining alignment with site plans. 

• Coach, mentor and support electrical team members to build capability, accountability and performance. 

ABOUT YOU 

What you’ll bring: 

• Electrical trade, electrical engineering qualification or equivalent relevant maintenance experience. 

• Experience in underground coal mining, mining or heavy industry environments, ideally in electrical maintenance execution. 

• Strong capability in planning, scheduling, prioritising and coordinating electrical maintenance activities. 

• Ability to develop scopes of work and support safe, practical electrical work execution. 

• Sound technical troubleshooting capability with a strong understanding of safety, risk, compliance and continuous improvement. 

• Demonstrated leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including coaching and supporting team performance.
