Risk and Quality Manager

Summary:

The Risk and Quality Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our public sector projects adhere to the highest standards of risk management and quality assurance. Based in Hawthorn, Victoria, this permanent full-time position is essential for maintaining compliance and enhancing operational efficiency within our organisation. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify risks, implement quality control measures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement risk management strategies and frameworks to mitigate potential risks across projects.
• Conduct regular quality audits and assessments to ensure compliance with organisational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify risk factors and develop action plans to address them.
• Prepare and present risk and quality reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to promote a culture of quality and risk awareness within the organisation.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to enhance risk management and quality assurance processes.
• Lead investigations into quality issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Risk Management, Quality Assurance, or Public Administration.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in risk management or quality assurance, preferably within the public sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in risk management software and quality assurance tools.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or Quality Management System (QMS) certification are advantageous.
