The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals, planning menus, sourcing ingredients, coordinating kitchen operations, and supervising kitchen staff. Monitor the quality, consistency, and presentation of dishes throughout preparation and cooking. Liaise with managers, dietitians, kitchen staff, and front-of-house personnel regarding food preparation requirements and operational matters. Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance to kitchen staff on food preparation and cooking procedures.

Prepare, cook, and present meals in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and presentation requirements. Implement and maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and workplace health and safety in the kitchen. Assist with the selection, training, supervision, and development of kitchen staff as required.

Ensure food is properly stored, preserved, frozen, and handled using appropriate food safety and storage methods. Qualification & experience Minimum of certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or relevant hospitality qualification or equivalent work experience. Minimum 1 year of experience in related position.

In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations.   Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
