Project Manager

Milspec Energy Solutions is a growing Australian contractor delivering specialist services across the transmission, distribution and electrical infrastructure sectors. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Brisbane team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of high-profile electrical infrastructure projects while contributing to the continued growth and success of Milspec.

Based from our North Lakes office, you will oversee projects throughout Australia.

Reporting to Senior Leadership you will be responsible for leading projects from tender handover through to successful completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, commercially and operationally.

Working closely with clients, project teams, subcontractors and senior leadership, you will drive successful project outcomes while maintaining Milspec's commitment to safety, quality and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the full lifecycle of electrical infrastructure projects from commencement through to completion.

• Developing and managing project programs, budgets, forecasts and resource requirements.

• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.

• Managing project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, variations and commercial reporting.

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.

• Leading multidisciplinary project teams to achieve exceptional project outcomes.

• Managing procurement activities, subcontractors and supplier performance.

• Identifying project risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.

• Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, legislation and company management systems.

• Providing regular reporting to senior leadership on project performance.

• Supporting business development opportunities and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

You are a motivated and commercially focused Project Manager with experience delivering complex electrical infrastructure projects. You have a strong understanding of project delivery, enjoy building relationships and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

To be successful, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience managing transmission, distribution and/or electrical infrastructure projects.

• Sound knowledge of transmission and distribution line networks.

• Experience working within HV switching and electrical construction environments.

• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasting and financial performance.

• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

• The ability to effectively manage competing priorities across multiple projects.

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills.

• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

The following are highly desirable:

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Project Management (or equivalent).

• Trade qualification in Electrical, ESI (Lines), or a related discipline.

• Current White Card.

• Current Australian Driver Licence.
