Wine Bar & Retail Associate

You'll split your time between our wine bar and bottle shop, helping guests discover new wines, recommending pairings and creating the kind of experience that keeps people coming back.

You'll need a solid foundation of wine knowledge (WSET Level 2 or equivalent is preferred), confidence talking to people from complete beginners to self-proclaimed wine nerds, and a genuine love of hospitality.

If you're equally happy pouring a glass, recommending the perfect bottle for dinner and having a chat with customers, we'd love to meet you.

This isn't your typical wine bar job.

One minute you'll be helping someone choose a bottle for date night, the next you'll be selecting and pouring a wine flight, or signing someone up to their first Good Pair Days subscription.

You'll move between retail and hospitality throughout your shift, so we're looking for someone who enjoys variety and is adaptable.

Above all, you'll help create the welcoming, approachable atmosphere we're known for. A space where everyone feels comfortable asking questions, trying something new and discovering their next favourite wine.

Good Pair Days exists to make exceptional wine accessible and enjoyable for everyone, from beginners to enthusiasts.

Through curated selections, personalised recommendations, and innovative technology, we help customers discover wines that excite the senses and expand their wine world.

With the launch of our first physical store and wine bar, we are bringing our unique approach to wine retail into a real space where customers can explore, taste, learn, and connect.

This is not just a shop. It is a bar, a classroom, and a community space.

• First and foremost, you genuinely love wine and love talking about it.

• WSET Level 2 (or equivalent wine knowledge) is preferred.

• You have experience in hospitality, retail or wine service.

• You're just as comfortable recommending a bottle as you are working a busy floor on a Saturday night.

• Flexibility working evenings and weekends - that's when our bar comes alive.

• You have a warm, outgoing personality and know how to make people feel welcome.

• You can adapt your wine knowledge to suit everyone; from complete beginners to wine aficionados.

• You enjoy working as part of a close-knit team.

• You're always keen to keep learning.

• You find yourself recommending wine to your friends without being asked.

• You're naturally curious and keen to keep expanding your wine knowledge because there's always another bottle, region or producer to discover.

• You're looking for a workplace where your personality is just as important as your wine knowledge.

• You believe wine should be fun, not intimidating.
