Leading Lights Early Intervention is growing, and we are looking for passionate Occupational Therapists to join our unique multidisciplinary team.

WARNING: This isn't your standard paediatric Occupational Therapist position.

Our integrative, transdisciplinary model brings together professionals from allied health, mental health, education, child development and neuroscience-informed practice to understand the whole child — not simply a diagnosis or isolated area of difficulty.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with an experienced and diverse team, contributing your Occupational Therapist expertise while also learning from professionals with knowledge extending well beyond your own discipline.

Child development may be influenced by mental health, environmental factors, epigenetics, sensory processing, trauma, behaviour, cognition, executive functioning, anxiety, environment, relationships, nutrition, learning differences and a child's developmental experiences.

Our model gives you the opportunity to explore these connections.

You may collaborate with other professionals around a child's goals, contribute to integrated intervention planning, support parents and educators, participate in case discussions, and develop strategies that can be carried consistently across home, school, community and therapy environments.

Instead, we bring the expertise together around the child.

We are looking for a Occupational Therapist who:

• Holds recognised qualifications in Occupational Therapy and appropriate professional registration/membership requirements.
• Has an interest in paediatrics, early intervention and family-centred practice.
• Values collaboration and enjoys learning from professionals outside their own discipline.
• Understands that behaviour and communication often tell us something deeper about what a child is experiencing.
• Enjoys thinking creatively and developing therapy around a child's interests, strengths and individual needs.
• Values relationships with parents, carers, educators and other professionals.
• Wants to continue developing professionally rather than simply delivering the same therapy model year after year.
• Brings curiosity, warmth, initiative and a willingness to contribute ideas.

Experienced Occupational Therapists are encouraged to apply, but we also welcome applications from early-career clinicians who want to develop within a highly collaborative environment.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
